MET

Weather briefing and monitoring module that gives your airline
access to worldwide weather information.

Easy to use

The product is very simple and easy to use, giving quick access to all information, and its configurable Weather Package templates allow to adjust its functions to each user's preferences and needs.

The application uses fully configurable route briefings that can consist of any possible weather data, including Smart4Aviation remarkable SigWX ‘Mosaic’ charts. S4A Smart MET provides an easy, customizable way of grouping several weather products into Weather Packages to provide users with weather briefings for different areas, available within a single mouse click. 

If S4A Smart MET is integrated with S4A Smart COMM, its users can be alerted to changing weather conditions without delay, in order to comply with Flight Following and Flight Watch regulations. Our powerful map generator can provide users with precise, on-the-fly Significant Weather, Icing conditions, UAD, PIREP, radar or satellite imagery charts for any region of the world.

Changing weather conditions can have an immediate impact on flight operations. S4A Smart MET component combines data from multiple sources (such as text or graphical weather information) to ensure that the processing is as fast and complete possible, even during outages when weather data flows from some providers are unavailable. 

Active Maps

S4A Smart MET interactive maps allow crews to overlay their flight route with various aviation weather graphical layers, providing the highest level of detail on expected en-route conditions.

With the help of S4A Smart MET maps, you can see not only your flight position, stations and weather but also full ETOPS information, the most up-to-date weather data (including UAD and SigWX charts) generated by Met Office-certified, built-in map generator, and icing charts.

You can dynamically enable/disable layers and can change the flight level displayed on your charts.

Multiple sources of WX data

Changing weather conditions can have an immediate impact on flight operations. S4A Smart MET component, combines data from multiple sources (such as text or graphical weather information) to ensure that the processing is as fast and complete as possible even during outages, when weather providers prove useless. The data can be fetched from many different sources such as flight planning systems, external and internal weather providers or even internet sources.

S4A Smart MET Mobile

Mobile extensions allows to display different kinds of weather-related information for selected stations according to their IATA/ICAO/FIR codes directly on your mobile device.

It is a great supplement to S4A Smart BRIEF Mobile, as it can be accessed directly from the Briefing Package view, showing the information for the stations related to the currently chosen flight.
